It is now possible to make a tax deductible donation to the Trail de Paris via your monthly City of Paris water bill. You can check the Trail de Paris box on the paper copy of your bill or, if your payment is drafted each month, you can contact the City water billing office at 903-784-9270 to make the designation. THANK YOU for your support and contributions to your Trail!!

The Reno Rail Trail Completed

Great news! The extension of the Trail de Paris to the eastern city limits of Reno has been completed! This adds approximately 2.17 miles to the existing 3.16 for a total of 5.33 paved trail miles and connects the Turtle Creek housing addition. The City of Reno recently adopted the name "Reno Rail Trail" for their portion of the trail.

Appreciation Celebration

The Appreciation Celebration was held recently at the Love Civic Center Pavilion.  All those who have supported the Trail since its inception were thanked and recognized. Children and adults alike enjoyed the fun activities hosted by several local groups.

Big Brothers Big Sisters offered a sand art station while other students painted faces and the Boy Scouts refereed the sack races! The Northeast Texas Master Naturalists were on hand to explain their program and its connection with the Trail de Paris. The Master Gardeners made and distributured along the Trail wild flower mud balls. We anticipate some beautiful blooms in the spring.

Earl Erickson, who has been instrumental in the creation and expansion of the Trail de Paris received many accolades from guest speakers State Representative Mark Homer, Andy Goldbloom (TX Parks & Wildlife), and mayor Jesse Freelan. Earl was presented with a special gift of a plush Energizer Bunny by the steering committee to symbolize the endless supply of energy Earl has displayed for this project. Thanks, Earl!
